Hello! I’m Emi.

I am graduating from the University of Washington in Spring 2024 with a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication Design and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language + Literature + Culture. 

My journey has led me to find a spark in design and storytelling. As a lover of stories, I aim to uplift underrepresented narratives to foster conversations and advocacy. As a designer, I seek to create joyful and healing world experiences guided by these conversations. What I love most about design is a culture built on collaboration, co-creation, and care. My work is inspired by the ideas that come out of sharing experiences with the best creative minds.

I believe that there is always a compassionate solution if we choose to imagine it. Design has become a hopeful space where I can envision a better world and build it alongside a community.

When I am not designing, I am cafe-hopping in search of the best matcha latte or
re-reading my favorite childhood books.
